code 35

Post by Jeff P »

According to the manual, Code 35 sets when:

* Engine speed is at least 175 rpm more or less than "desired."
* TPS voltage indicates throttle is open less than 1%.
* VSS indicates vehicle speed is less than 3 mph.
* All above conditions are continuously met for 5 seconds or more.
* IAC steps must be less than 10.

Code 35 can also be caused by a vacuum leak (cracked/broken/disconnected vacuum lines), improper sealing of manifold or throttle body gaskets, cracked intake manifold or throttle body, misadjusted idle stop screw, bad IAC valve (obviously), or damaged wires/bad electrical connection to IAC valve.  Hope that helps.
