Engine dies
My brother has a 88 beretta GT with the 2.8 v6 and a automatic transmission. The car will start and after it warms up it will die. But it will start back up and if you keep the rpm's up it will stay running but soon as you let it back to idle it dies. I'ts driving me nuts i hope someone can help me out.  Thanks

The first thing to do is check for trouble codes in the car's computer using the paperclip trick if you haven't already. It sounds like a sensor problem or a vacuum leak. Check the vacuum hoses for cracks, breaks, or just disconnected ones. The first sensors I'd probably suspect would be the MAP and the IAC (center of the firewall, and on the front side of the throttle body, respectively). Actually, it could also be the EGR valve. Hopefully it just needs the carbon deposits cleaned out.
