94 beretta + 89 turbo Grand Prix

Post by TooManyCars »

I just was given a 1994 beretta 3100/auto  The only problom with the car is that it only has 1st and reverse .. Now i have a rearended 89 tgp sittin in my back yard .. The TGP runs and drives  just missing the back axel ... So I have been lookin at the two and figuering that they should combie and make a sweet little turbo retta.. I have the both a 4t60 and a 4t60e in the shop so now its just a matter of witch parts to use to make it all work together..

4T60 and the 89 TGP PCM, wiring harnesses and perhaps an older dash.  I'm not sure if the newer dash will work properly, but it might be worth trying.  I would swap entire harnesses or do a lot of wire matching.

if you have a tgp in your yard could you tell me what the speedo goes up to on it? I'm using tgp code in my car and the speedo is way off may have something to do with the 3 speed instead of the four as well.

Is it ridiculously off? Or just off a little bit?

eh? actually i figured out that i like my way off speedometer because now it goes up to 150.  I figure that i'm close to excatly 80% of the actual speed on the gauge so if youre doing 65 it says 52.  I think i'll just make a cluster skin with the new increments on it.  It raises the speed limiter nicely and lets you keep the car under what ever you want it's not "oh i think i'm doing 130 but the needle stops at 120"
