Low oil level and low coolant level

Low oil level and low coolant level
If you tap on the reservoir near the sensor a few times the light will probably go off... Sometimes they just stick a little.

I changed my temp sensor because I wanted the computer to get the right readings and make the right adjustments so it could run the best it can. I think you should do the same. You should run at the half mark that is where it's set up to run. I'm not trying to tell you how to things(I know that's how it came off), I just want you car to run right and for you to be happy.

2 questions first,
1. How much does a new temp sensor cost,
2. How does it running at half temp gauge make it run right? Will this make it run cooler? or will this make my fan kick on every 10 min lol. Just wondering.
p.s. actually three questions, where's the temp sensor located?
And taping on my tank had no affect on my light turning off.

The temp sensor cost me about 20 bucks. If your temp is the same as mine was the computer will change the air/fuel and timing to try to make the engine run cooler, so you may run rich. That may sound good but it's not. If this is what's going on you will have less power do to the wrong tune, though you may not see or feel any change. Efficiency is lost. My temp sensor was just under where the water neck bolts to the intake. On the level sensor I don't know, I guess that you may need to replace it also( not for sure though).

might that be why when i have it running cold, it has alot of exhaust smoke? Also why it sounds like there's a water sound in my exhaust (glass pack)?

I didn't have any smoke with mine. I have some water when it's cold out. Did you ever get the scanner to work?

ya but no codes. Its obd2 so idk what the numerical codes for my coolant would be. It just has a flashing light for it. oh well, i'll keep tryin to get it to turn off lol.

So you have a code reader and not a scanner? Did you change the temp sensor? All I have is OBD1 codes, so one again I'm not much help. If I get the time I'll try to find them. Well it turns out that I have abbreviations for OBD2 codes. Can you get them so I can look them up? Also have the #'s for the codes.
