My 1992 Beretta GT

Post by Eddie »

I love my beretta. These pics are when I got it in october 2006.

I have put over $2,000 into my beretta.

Since I've gotten it, here are some of the major things I've done with it:

4 new wheels (konig priced $99 ea.)
New ball joints
New sway bar links
New half shafts (both sides)
New passenger side control arm
New rear shocks
New EGR valve
New starter
New power steering pump and lines
New washer fluid pump
New Water pump
New lower Motor mount
New CHIMSL assembly
New muffler
New cat back exhaust pipe
New windshield
New center console lid
New Serpt. belt
Have all new brake shoes, pads, rotors, and drums.
new side marker socket's
New low coolant sensor
LED front turn/sidemarker bulbs
New sony Xplod
And oil changes every 2,500 miles.

Recently, I got a rod knock, and it's gotten pretty bad. Everyone has told me to just get a new car, but I really do love my car. I thought long and hard about selling it for parts, and getting some shitty "other vehicle" that in my price range would never be as good as the beretta was to me.

So I have decided to keep the beretta. I'm putting a new engine in it.

I have a friend that has a rebuilt engine from a beretta the same year as mine that he is letting me have for a steal. And if that were to fall through, I have found somebody on the board who can sell me an engine with 6000 miles on it.

I am keeping the beretta alive, at all costs. I've fallen in love with my beretta.

Long live the beretta,
Edward Anchak

The motor I wanted didn't pan out, but I've already found another one. $875 shipped, no core.

I called them, and had them write my name on one of them (they have one more if anyone is interested), and I am paying for it Monday.

I can't wait to get my beretta in running condition again.

I am a in vocational school for automotive technology, buy there's still a lot I've never done before.

In my auto shop, it's been a week of disconecting wires, vacuum tubes, hose's, and The exhaust, tie rod ends, calipers, removing the radiater and fan, and lots lots more. But after a week, I finally got the old engine out.

Next steps, transfer everything to the new engine, put the new engine in, and get it to run.

You caught me.

I joined Beretta.net 1 month after I got my beloved Beretta, and at the time, I didn't have a picture of my Beretta. So I googled "blue Beretta", found a small, distorted picture of a Beretta, and used it.

nice, i too like the color. i always found it odd how the crosslace wheels make a retta look "beefy" and more muscle rather than tuner.

I like the side photo the best, but I'd bet it's hard to stuff all of it in that small box. Now it's at least your car for real. Looks good!

Kepping it alive is harder than I thought it would be. It helps if you try to swap with the right engine, see my other topic:

I love crosslaces too that's why I took them off the GT and put them on the corsica.

Car looks really nice. I cant tell if it's Quasar or Maui blue from the pics though.
