That sucks on the throttle cable. Dang, get some sleep or you will get sick and no work will be done. In high school I was working 39 1/2 hours and was building a 76 Nova. I got about 3 hours sleep each night. I was so sleepy that I tightened some bolts to tight on my throttle bracket and the cable for the trans locked up at WOT(still don't know why I did that). The story on that is too long, in the end lets just say I didn't have enough time to shut the car down and hit a tree(knocked it down and was still going, put the trans in park and stopped five feet from a house). That was the first day the car was out and the last. What I want to say is take your time. I know this will not happen to you, it seems to only happen to me. Hang loose bro, you can see what the other way gets you (ha,ha).

Well I had a thread on bstuff then the hack came and everything was gone. So i just picked back up where I left off.

Well I think I am going to put on four pairs of clothes and a thick *** coat and try to pull the tranny out. hopefully the temp will stay somewhat high.

And it looks like no LSD for now. He won't have one in stock for a few weeks. I can't wait that long.

Also I went to another site for that throttle cable. They didnt have it but they said that had one dealer in the US that says they have it. So I ordered it. $19.99 Plus shipping.

Man, that is cheap, thought they would charge more for one. Why not wait for the LSD?

Cause I don't want to wait for a month to put it in.  I might try to paint the engine bay in the mean time.  I really don't have a plan.

Once you get the engine and trans in and all hooked up I'd bet you will not want to pull the trans just to put the LSD in. There has got to be other stuff to do while you wait. Just think that it's not going to set you back a year and the temps should go up some by that time. Rich people send their cars away for others to work on, we have to take it and try to go with the flow. I know you want to get this done, but this may be the only time in your life that you will have a chance to do this. Take it easy.

Well  I spent about 2 hours deiceing the roof. about 4 in of ice.  Really made the roof leak all over my car.  Freaking great!  So I put a tarp over it and had it drain in a buckect. ÂÂÂ

So I started to pull off the right CV Shaft. Had some probs with stuff being rusted.  Used some heat and messed up some bolts. ÂÂÂ

Then linkage and dog bone mount.

And I have changed my mind on some things. I plan on pulling everything out of the engine bay and painting it all.  I also am going to get a new suspension.  Bigger front brakes, struts, sway bar, everything. Even A Frame.  And me and my dad where talking. He brought it to my attention that why dont i just install the engine and tranny like they do at the factory.  from the bottom.  I think that maybe the way I do it.  So yes I will be getting an LSD.

Now I need some susp. info and website for parts.  I am lookin for good performance but not a poopy ride. I am duh duh duh on this area. If you have any good threads that explain suspension in great detail link it. I need all the info I can get.

What I am thinking:

1.) KYB Sturts and shocks - Not sure what model.
2.) Bigger Brakes - Dont have a vendor yet.
3.) I would like better A arms But if I must stay stock ok.
4.) New Sway Bar - No vendor yet.
5.) New Support Arms - Prolly stock. unless there is performance ones.
6.) Strut mount brace - MRZ Performance
7.) Knuckles - Both Sides Prolly stock.
8.) All poly bushing.
9.) Hub Bearing - Both Sides Prolly stock.
10.) Both sides Outer tire rod - Prolly stock.
11.) Both Side lower ball joints - Stock.

I am sure there will be more.

sounds good

2.) Bigger Brakes - Dont have a vendor yet.

3.) I would like better A arms But if I must stay stock ok.
what you want tubular A-arms? how about a k-member to

4.) New Sway Bar - No vendor yet.
mm i probably could start making some but will hold of for now. you wanting like a drag swaybar?

5.) New Support Arms - Prolly stock. unless there is performance ones.
Not sure what your asking here

6.) Strut mount brace - MRZ Performance
them are nice.

7.) Knuckles - Both Sides Prolly stock.
knuckles would come with the brake kit.

8.) All poly bushing.
energy suspension
9.) Hub Bearing - Both Sides Prolly stock.
just buy the lifetime warrenty ones

10.) Both sides Outer tire rod - Prolly stock.
same, liftime

11.) Both Side lower ball joints - Stock.
would come with my a-arms

pm if you need and more info or want to talk i'll give you my #

PST.com for the bushings(they are the best), on the control arms they are about $175 each(don't remember where to get them for sure). After I saw the cost I gave up on new ones. What about springs? You can get KYB strut mounts also(I never did like the GR2 struts and shocks on my car, but that's just me talking). You could also use new strut boots, spring seats and spring insulators(insulators go between the strut and the strut mount, kinda hard to find them, but you can try your auto parts store). Get new strut to steering knuckle bolts also. GM wheel bearings(hubs) are good, but be sure to put the new seals in the back of the steering knuckle or you will have to replace the hubs again very soon. I had alot of trouble getting the rear ones of the brake backing plate(had to put it between my feet and jump up and down to get them off). By the way I did try everything else I could think of first, everything!

Use the N body brakes.

Addco makes front and rear aftermarket swaybars for our cars.

Nobody has successfully been able to make tubular A-arms that can hold up to the abuse due to the design of the stockers.  I'd be surprised if that changes (no offense).

You are going to have a hard time turbocharging this engine with that giant tranny mount in the way.  92+ mounts would have been a better choice.

You'll also want to get an intermediate shaft for that transmission to reduce torque steer.

And theres not alot of stress on a ls1 a-arm on a road course? You just have to make it right. also i can redesign the a-arm the way i want, since i'm making a k-member. I'll put them through extream beating before i sell anything. an a-arm is nothing to be messing around with. you break an a-arm you have alot of problems and a bad rep. and thats something i dont want. i pride my self on giving the customers the best product. if i dont trust it on my car then i wont sell it.

I've also been trowing around an idea on a drag bar. it will be adjustable. I have not started on that yet but will look into it more onces i get some other stuff done.

also on the k member. It  is looking like there might be more room, down by it on the driver side front. you might be able to mount it a turbo down there.

I have a car coming next week for the 3400 headers so i might ask him to maybe slap half the k member up in there to give me a measurement on how much room i have.

here is the info on the 3400 as of now.
mild steel
3/8 or 1/2in flang.
1-5/8 primaries going into 2in on the cross tube then Y into the back collector and going 2-1/2 out. It will not be like S&S headers where the cross pipe goes into the back header right at the collector. I think a 2 into 1 collector would be a smoother tranistion. S&S has to much tubalance at that point and is disrupting flow on the back part of the hearder.

If any of you want to give me some comments then shot me a pm. dont start it here and get the awsome post off track.

Luckymc420 if you still need your turbo headers made let me know i'll start doing some r&r work and get you some info and would like info how you want to do it.

also sorryr about the spelling. i sucked at english in school
