I would expect an SES light, and poor performance unless you were to do something to tune the car.  But that's just my guess.

Yes it's needed for the engine to run the way it should. I have read that it gives 7% more power at cruise.

Hey now .

hehe.  Good luck getting a new one, it looks like you'll have no trouble judging by the post you made in the wanted section.  I've never seen that style EGR, but I haven't been in the 3400 game long anyway.

Oh no I completely understand.  Right now I'm driving a 96 horsepower Sunbird (don't take it wrong, I love the car, we've had her since she was new), but compared to my 3400 swapped Beretta...

The tough part is the Beretta is having issues, but I'm off at college so I can't really do anything about it.  Poor girl.

Have fun at the meet, I'm going to one also on Sunday.

looks like there was some sort of exhaust leaking going on where that tube thing connects to the egr itself...

i went ahead and bought a new egr... it runs better now... but still has that small leak...

You might want to get new gaskets.  IIRC  there is one on each side, one for egr, one for the exhaust tube.

I know the top gasket is like 5-10 bucks, the bottom, I have no clue because I think it came in my gasket set for the entire engine.  (I actually have two top gaskets because of my adapter plate).

Yeah, I'm positive there was one on the bottom between the exhaust tube and the manifold.
