Post by 95Z26beretta »

Well we had a nice weekend finally, I went to gibsons yesterday picked up some stuff for my Z26 and finally finished fixing her up.  Going on my 4th week of having cayenne back on the road and she is a sweetheart of a car with zero problems. Since I picked her up october 12 I got the engine from mark's black betty. We tore the engine down cleaned eveything up very well, replaced every gasket on that engine, rebuilt the heads, cleaned up and rewired a bunch of wires that were a mess in the front around the starter area, and also installed a brand new battery. She had afew bugs that had to be worked out like we had to also replace the coil packs after finding a dead one, replaced the EGR Valve, installed a new oil pressure sensor, new sway bar links and the control arm bushings. As for body misc stuff I fixed the damage around the drivers door as in replacing the black metal trim that mounts to the mirror, and the trim around the door, I also reinstalled the d/s wheel well fender splash guard, front air damn, replaced a bad ground for the drivers side high beam, repaired a bad ground on the passenger side fog light, replaced the indash cup holder assembly by the glove box, replaced the missing rotating ashtray on the back of the center counsel, added a pioneer indash cd player, road master 6x9's, pioneer 4x6's, and replaced the 3rd brake light.
I finally got her scrubbed and washed up, looking mighty sexy again today. Here are a bunch of pic I took of her today.

Thanks, she has come along ways and many hours involved in getting everything done. I would like to eventually get brand new carpet and and have the seats redone.

lol Thanks Bro.  He is not starving by any means. I got him from the humane society last april he weighed 67 lbs, he has bulked out alot and is getting close to 100 lbs, its like having a horse around, has alot of muscle in him and eats like a horse, loves food, beer and black jelly beans

quick question, why is the front end not the same as most z26s. is it a clone? i have seen others the same way and was curious if they made some like that. looks good, i love that color.

Maybe he put this front bumper on it because the z26 is broken.. i dont know... ^^
But i think its a real z26, not a clone. Look at the interrior, sideskirts, rear bumper, z26 emblems....

Oh and this is a really nice z26. Nice work!

She's a real Z. Bought for cheap from ebay, must have had front end damage and had it repaired with non-Z parts before he bought it.  Also has the Z bumper with the fog light bracket and stock fogs.

My old engine is in there and she runs like a champ!  I finally got to drive this car yesterday.  Definitely a Z.  My car handles like a boat compared to this.

I gave Eric a new solid grille, and he has a front bumper coming his way soon.  Just need some paint on the grille, bumper, and spoiler and this girl will be set.

yes this car is an original Z26 not a clone. it was involved in a minor collision but has no frame or unibody or any structural damage of any kind. Instead of the body shop doing it the right way and installing the Z26 bumper on and the original grille they went cheap and went with the base model grille front bumper. I found over spray on the inner fender splash guard.
Like mark mentioned I have a bumper for it lined up and will be getting that soon and I already have the solid grille that he gave me. As soon as funds allow me I will be buying the paint and having a friend paint the stuff for me including the spoiler.
