Ok now I'm gonna coat my exhaust with the POR-20 Black Velvet and it says to either go on with a brush or thin it with the POR-15 solvent to spray it... Now I know they are probably just trying to get more money out of me to use their stuff which I'm assuming is no different than typical Paint thinner... Now what does everyone else think??
I would rather not have to buy it since its $34 a gallon plus shipping.
So has anyone else used POR-15 through a sprayer and thinned it with typical thinner? and not had issues?

i would just put it on with a brush then once your done sand them and wet sand them to smooth them out.
and ya its pretty much the same. not sure what the diff is. maybe google it. it might tell you more info on it.

think im gonna have to do this to my downpipe and cat back pipe. make that ish outlive the car.
ive made the flowmaster on the outside last pretty long with high temp paint.
the inside thats another story as you heard jon its kinda loud, might have to rethink my exhaust for daily driving and just use a cutout for the track dont need it stupid loud everyday. too much cop attention.
hey whatever you dont use ill buy some off you to do my ish, if you want.

2 things....Those products are very bad for your watch out for fumes. I am betting its a special thinner.
I personally would consider not spraying any of their coatings..that stuff is bad enough just getting on your skin with a roller or brush.

Ok, thanks, I guess I'll stick with brushing it on.  I'm not so worried about the finish of the product, I just want good coverage, after all it is just an exhaust.
