Which pump did you use? Just a shot in the dark there. The yard? I think 30mm would be better lol!

I'm wondering if you don't have a fuel "drain down" problem. In other words when you turn the car off, it's letting all the fuel in the lines drain all the way back to the tank causing the hard starts....

did you try resetting the battery? mine had a bad idle and that fixed it.

It almost sounds like a computer problem, like it's not going into the "cold start up" and then does it after the start.

i'm not sure how to check the fuel drain problem lol. I tried this morning to start it up and it did without a problem. I bet if i try later on tonight it'll go back to the same problem. It does make sense if the fuel is not getting to the injectors that it might be draining back to the tank or something. I've got a mem cal from a 3.1 automatic beretta. Can i use it to try and see if it's a computer problem? Something i have noticed is that there seems to be alot of gray kind of looking smoke coming out of the exhaust when i step on the gas. Is this normal?

You could try the auto mem cal just to see how it starts. That's very strange that it did ok this time. The fuel should drain back if it sits for a long time, but not as fast as it sounds like it does. How do you start it? Do you let the pump run with the key on and then start it? You shouldn't have to do that, but it's worth a try just to see what it does. I can't remember, did you get a new pump? There should be no smoke.

Put a fuel gauge on the rail schrader valve and watch to see if it bleeds down.

well, the car now starts everytime and without a problem. I'm guessing it probably was the old fuel it had in the old gas tank that i was unable to drain. It starts right away without having to let the pump run or anything. It still smokes though, it smells as if it's running rich or something. Now does anyone know how replace the ignition switch tumbler? lol

Sorry man, no I don't. I took mine to a lock shop. Then not to long after the rods on the back broke(took it to another shop). Lucky for me both times I was still able to start the car(had to pull the #1 fuse to shut it off). Gald to hear that you are up and running. Is the O2 new? Could be something else. Can you get more info like volts for the MAP and O2 etc?
