89 Tranny Cooler Lines
I tried ordering Gates A61246 and A61247 transmission cooler lines from Rock Auto for my 89 GT 2.8 V6 automatic. While they show up in the catalog, and allow you to order them online, I received a call today from Rock Auto saying that they are obsolete, and that there is no substitute.
Question: Where can you get these lines? Are they still available from GM? I was going to replace them as a preventative measure, as just about everything else on the bottom of the car has rusted. Thanks in advance for the help.

You can try a dealer or you can have them made.
Take the old ones to any place that deals with hydraulics and they can make you ones that will never need to be replaced.
Mine are braided with AN fittings (NOT the expensive Russel crud) and I think I paid under $100 for both.

Autozone ftw.... Searching a bit before asking ftw...
Outlet , lower:

Inlet , upper:

There's both lines for $49. I just searched out the ones for my '88 GT , but should be the same for your '89.

Thanks for looking for me! Unfortunately, it appears that the Autozone part numbers are the same Gates numbers that I reference in my earlier post. The numbers still exist on the Gates web site, but when you try to go to the number in their online catalog, you get nothing. I'll try calling Autozone, as maybe they have some in a warehouse somewhere, but I think it's going to be a dead end. It also shows the good deals you get at Rock Auto, as they had the hoses for under $ 11 each.

You can indeed get them FOR SURE from AZ. I just called my buddy at the local AZ to be sure. He checked availability and ordering and said he can def get them. If you don't have a local AZ, you can order them online and they can ship to your door. Now.... Who's your daddy?

You da man.
Thank you!!
Next weekend, I'm planning on changing tranny fluid and filter, and that would be an opportune time to replace those hoses. I'll call AZ right away.
