Crankshaft sensor

Post by Beretta Z26 »

Hey everybody workin on my Beretta and I need to replace the crank position sensor but I can't find it.  I've got a Haynes book but it really does'nt tell where it is.  If somebody can tell me about where this thing is maybe my car will start running again.
Thanx

IIRC, it's behind the crank shaft pulley.  Meaning you have to pull the pulley/balancer off to get to it.

There's also one that protrudes into the block on the firewall-side of the engine.

the one that'll prevent the car from starting would be the one on the back side of the block, right next to the tranny.

I have a very high recommendation. PB BLASTER BEFORE you start cranking on it to remove it. And tug GENTLY or you'll be dropping your oil pan to get the remains.... GL.
