yea, dont watch that dum thing anymore, becouse in theory or at least as i though, if you dont have oil, you shouldnt have any oil pressure being theres no oil. well, i knew my sunturd had an oil leak, but the oil pressure was ok so i never really checked it out, and it was just a tiny leak, you know? well, i got to the gas station yesterday night, actually, around 1 am this morning, and its a dam good thing i actually checked the oil. becouse it was bone dry, smoking like a siz out of the oil cap when i took it off, and you could smell the metal burning smell.... i added like 4 quarts, and im not exagerating, these 3.1mpfi's really can take a beating huh? knock on wood, lol.... just figured id inform those who dont know....

You had oil or you wouldn't have any pressure.

The dipstick does not go all the way to the bottom of the pan, however the oil pick-up does.

The gauge measures the pressure, not the level.

If you had NO OIL, then you would have no pressure.

um, yeah, i know that, lol, i know that, but what i was thinking, was if the oil leval was so low, that the pressure would have droped, but i found out everything i needed to know on bstuff, lol, i just thought it was odd at first thinking it was so low on oil and yet, the pressure was so high.
