Found the car

Post by Asylum »

It took alot of searching, but I have found, and commited to the replacement for the '92 GT.

Alot of folks offered what they had found on the "other" site, and I thank you all for that, but this one came almost out of nowhere.

'92  WHITE GTZ, 3.1 auto, with Blue Interior, and NO RUST!

69,712 miles, and the original owner has it.

Too much money, but at this point, it really doesn't matter.

I get a ROAD TRIP to bring it home.

So take note friends in Cali, Colorado, Chicago, and all places in between, I'll be coming through in early October sometime.

Pics and BS to come.

This is going to be SWEET!

Buh Bye!

Hey Jene!

Hell, I'll race the new car if I'm allowed!

It's 100% dead stock, as pretty as the day it was new, and WAY!!! TOO expensive.

I'll confirm dates once I know when I'm flying down.

Well you have the inside Info Jim, but NO it doesn't have a sunroof.

It's just outside of San Diego CA but is likely on it's way to Santa Moniac this evening to our daughter's home.

That is if the smog thing was done today. If not she'll get it tomorrow. (Regan bought the car after one quick phone call to me.)

More to come when I get all the pics, but it is "MINTY MINT" and perfect!

It didn't come cheap, and I was not about to waste alot of time negotiating on this, so Regan got the "JUST BUY THE DAMN THING" short speech. LOL

Even then she knocked it down $500.

More to come I'm sure.

So you're flying out there and driving back?  If timing is right we'll have to meet up or something.

It's could be early September, but more likely mid October.

My last race is October 5th, and if I fly out the 6th or 7th, I'm thinking a 5 or 6 day trip and stop wherever I'm welcome, LOL!

Lots of stuff to figure out for now, and some paperwork to exchange, but I own it, and I really think I have THE CAR!

More to come, I'm sure.

Well the GT is a 16 year old Canadian car that may have seen a couple too many winters before it was deemed to be "special".

The rockers have already been fixed once, and the drivers side is showing signs of weakness again.

It's still a solid enough car, however it's not what I'm prepared to spend a bunch more money on.

And I have always had a soft spot for white cars. The Quad is my toy, and now I have it's twin to beat the hell out of.

All the new suspension stuff will also get transferred to the new one.

I don't know what will happen to it. Likely put the 3.1 in it and make it a pretty car for someone.

More to come I'm sure.

Ahh, The 'ol GT does look good though.

Yeah, no beating on the Quad, Weba already took care of that for you..
