I just read this whole topic...
W00t!
So does the Q4 5 speed bolt to the 3400 or does the case HAVE to be changed? Dumb question but I had to ask.

The front half of the case with the bellhousing would have to be changed.

(Money pit Beretta @ Jul. 25 2008,22:38)QUOTENo LSD, what's going on? That guy still hasn't made any?
OK well I just sent an email again to see if he will respond.  I can't really blame him though.   I hope to get that and then the tranny together, But I am having some major problems with my daily Beretta.  So that comes first. No job no car project money.

Getting the LSD in. Well I am not really really 100% sure on how it is done. I swear I saw something on one of the sites about putting one in.  I can't find it.  I am going to hold off on the painting due to my top engine mount and my right rear lower mount not welded in yet.  I am going to put everything all together and put it in and mount and weld to make sure everything is lined up.  Then pull it back down and paint.   But I still need me to get the right support arm for the dog bone mount on it.   That sounds like a junkyard thing.

i would be like 95% ready.

Today was a very poopy day.

I started to pull apart the 282 and had issues with the damn bushing.  I broke 2 of my S screwdrivers.  So I said F that for now.  I started to work on my PS pump pully.  I dropped the pump and cracked the pully so I had to buy a new pully.  I started to put the pully on but the inside shaft on the pump was stripped out.  So I went to O' Reilly's and bought one.  Well I F'd up that pump to.  I think I was just mad.  So this girl calls me and wants to go out and get a beer.  So I clean up and grabbed my cell phone keys and and and where is my wallet.  SON OF A you know.  I look everywhere.  I mean EVERYWHERE.  I remember some crack head ladie next to me at o reillys. then I start to think i didnt leave with my wallet.  So i lost my wallet.  Now I am eating pizza and drinking like its my full time job.  Oh and I had to tell the girl that I can't make it because I lost my wallet.  And I look like i am 14 so I need an ID to go anywhere.  WOw I feel a little better now.

The wallet and everything is gone.  I did all the running around yesterday and some today.  But I did also get to do some work on the project.  not much but something.  I dont know what I was doing wrong on tuesdays on the power steering pully.  But today it went on smooth.  Got the pump put on and intake bolted down and basically engine is about 93% done.  It was 100% but i robbed parts off of it for my daily car.  I also pulled my EGR and put a plug in the manifold and made a plate for the upper intake.  I hope to get more work on it next week but looks like i get to babysit for the most of the week.

Man, that sucks on the wallet. Can you talk to the cops?
It's getting close to a start, bet you can't wait to hear it run. What do you plan to do about the EGR code? The EGR does give 7% more power at cruise. It's just me, but I'd keep it(less to work around later). WOT-Tech has adapters and a 2000+ block off if you need them under 3400 parts.
