Newbie here

Post by dmc67 »

New guy here with a 96 Chevy Beretta with 2.2 A/T and I'm pretty sure the motor is done.

The problem I'm seeming to run into is all 92-94 Beretta, Corsica, cavalier, and sunfire.

Can anyone tell me what I would have to do to get a motor from a 2.2 93 Cavalier to work? I was told change Engine Wiring harness and Computer (ECU). because they changed from OBDI to OBDII. If I would change all that stuff, Am I gunna run into a problem with all the other harnesses connecting to the ECU?

Thank You Very Much

Well as far as I know you'll have to take the old harness and computer out and put the new stuff in it's place. Not to be a jerk, but you would be going from OBD2 to OBD1 or OBD1.5. What is the problem that you are running into? I ask because the 93 engine falls under your problem years. Welcome to Bnet, sorry should have said that first.
