engine help

Post by dmc67 »

ok I got a 96 Beretta 2.2 Auto, the motor grenaded I bought one that was susposed to be from a 97 Cavalier well I started looking and it does not have a place for the Cam shaft sensor it starts up but it runs like crap, like it was 180 deg out of time. My question is, is their any possible way to bypass the cam sensor?

Thanks

If you can, yank the motor and get your refund back.  Then go somewhere that knows what they are dealing with.  Sounds like you received an OBD1 engine for a car needing a OBD2 style motor.
