On the speakers, try switching the speaker wires around on the head unit. Like you said the rigth front works? undo the the right front speaker for the head unit, and hook up the left front speaker wire to the right front speaker wire of the head unit. If sounds comes out of the left speaker, I would say the head unit is bad, if no sound comes out( becaues you know the right chanel works) I would say it's something in the wire harness.
