New guy checking in.

Post by GrrtRUDE95 »

Hello, My name is dick chavez. I wasnt really sure where the into post where supposed to be so I stuck it here. Im not new to forums I have been active on my DSM forum for years. I was wondering if you guys welcome corsica owners on here as well? If not sorry for wasting your time. These forums are much better then the corsica forums by far. I hva e a 97 spyder gst that is broke down on jack stands like most DSM's but I recently was handed down the 97 corsica for a work car by my wife since we bought here a new car. Like most gear heads I cant leave anything alone. I was doing some reading and searching and found alot of info on swaps but nothing really deatailed or very helpful at all. She has the 2.2 in here now with auto trans. I read alot on the 3.4 swap but I couldnt really find much on if the 2.2 to 3.4 was possible. Also read the the 3800 was not even worth the trouble. Thats why I came here to get some good info from guys that really know theyre stuff.

P.S my wife named here car gertrude when she got it in highschool and it stuck so thats why my SN is GrrtRude95....A little attitude :angryfire:

I don't know if you read the threads about it or not but the site is currently being brought back up. Keep checking around on here over the next couple of days and there will be more information available.

The Z04 kit is the GTZ/Z26 kit. Several people have done the mod on the Corsy. Looks cool as hell.

It's NOT a bolt on kit for a corsica and you need some parts from a beretta but it makes a HUGE difference in the looks. I was lucky enough to find a complete Z04 kit for $40 so there really wasnt that much money sunk into the car. You can see all the pics of the car here: http://s59.photobucket.com/albums/g311/ ... ?start=all

BTW..... there were no 1997 L bodies. I would assume you have a 96? I'll tell you one thing though...... working on L bodies is addictive. This is why I just bought another one :funny34d:

Wow your car is very nice. I will look into the swap to see all what I would need to complete it. Ill call some junk yards as well. BTW the 97 was an oops on my part. Its a 95. I must of been thinking of my spyder.

I found a quad 4 in a grand am at the junk yard today and two 3.4's. I million 3.1's and two 3800 SC's. Two plain beretta's which were both destroyed.
