I'm rejoining the "Dark Side"

Well I have been L-less since December and I guess that was long enough. I just won this on Ebay.

I should be getting it this weekend. It's about 20 mins from my in-law's place so I will get it as we were going to stop over there this weekend. My plan is for it to be a "just in case car"(explination I gave the wife), but I'm getting a GTU kit locally. So it's going to be a GTU clone. With 79K miles on the clock it's just getting broken in.

IT's kind of hard to tell(and those were the only pics given to me) but check out that front rim...... Z51's. The car is like my old 88GT Z51,

Now I have to get the car here. Basically I paid nothing for it because I sold a Bronco that I have(well he's coming Tuesday to pick it up) and that paid for the car. :applause:

I saw that you were back in another topic, but this is back in a big way. Let me just say it's good to see you here again. Is that a pic of your old car? Are you going to have to get a new door(Ebay pics)? The Corsica just wasn't a Beretta and you couldn't stand it could you(lol)?

Well I need to see how bad the door actually is but it looks like a door and a fender is what I'm going to need for it.

The pic that I posted up was a pic of my old 88GT(bought it back in 98) but that was a Z51 and the new car has the same rims so I would assume it would also be a Z51.

I have a minivan for my DD so this would be the "spare car" but more so a project car for me and something to tinker with. Face it, a minivan isnt that exciting, although I have all new suspension parts that I have to get done. Just havent had the time to this week yet.

Fold down rear seat and beauty covers leads to something different than just another 3.1 base... Maybe a GT, but those came with cross lace rims so, possibly a Z51.

That happens to a door when someone backs up and hits something with the door open. If it wasn't for that crease in the dint I'd say you could take it out with a good shrinking hammer and a dolly. A new fender would be better. The hard part will be finding the strips that go on the door and fender. If I see any today I'll snag them for you. What does it say on the rear bumper?

It was originally that way, but they wear off after time.. Just like in the filler panel.
