What kind of muffler do you have?

I'm running a 95 base 3100 automatic with no muffler+stock cat+stock resonator=sounds like the so well known low tone of a 4.6 GT stang when I'm running about 45-50mph and push the pedal about half way to the floor and hold about 2,700-3,000 RPM

Figured I'd post the exhaust on my truck in here. It has dual 3" pipes going through Flowmaster 14" round race mufflers that go back into side exits

i have a swap meet "domestic" fart cannon its not a round its oval with a four inch tip with ghost flames on it. it actullay look really nice and sounds really nice. the tone aint that fart sound.

i have a custom magnaflow catback to a 3 inch tip

its just the standard mirror finish magna that advance auto sells for like 90 bucks

it gives gtz's a nice tone

ive got no clue as i bought it with the exaust done, but itll get changed to some Thrush mufflers . just not loud enough for me.

my 03 cavalier(before accident) borla cat-back , the i just ran it with no muffler,it was crazy loud

I had a dynomax super turbo on the GTZ, it fell apart cause they are crappy mufflers, but now have a Magnaflow SS non-polished muffler on there now, sounds way better!

I think flowmasters sound good on the older 3.1s

I Had Flowmaster 50 series Deltaflow on my 3.1.. for just a few days, i totally hated that metallic raspy sound, switched back to Magnaflow..

Had small Dynomax SuperTurbo on my 2.2, sounded just perfect, not loud at all, prettymuch same as stock, but with deeper and beefier tone.

On Quad I've used many different mufflers and exhaust setups, still looking for the one that would sound balanced.. extremely hard to make it silent without cat converter....

Borla bullet sounded great, but was ridiculously loud. I got pulled over constantly.

Flowmaster 40 sucked. It had an annoying drone that drove me nuts.

Dynomax VT now and I love it. Very mellow at idle & part throttle, sounds like the Borla at WOT.

All of these were on 3400/5spd setup with headers, full 2.5" exhaust & Catco converter.
