Re: new exhaust and new battery, still having problems?!
What is the ICM? I do not know what code is set now cause noone is around to check it! I have not found a new mechanic yet! Will update if it gets worse/better when I can find someone to help me.

Re: new exhaust and new battery, still having problems?!
ok well my car will not start at all now.
Another mechanic had it, adjusted the idle told me to put seafoam in the gas tank and now it will not start at all!? It did run for a few days after I put the seafoam in.
He said it probably needs a throttle position sensor.
this has been one ridiculous/expensive disaster!!!

Your right, this is crazy! Why would they adjust the idle? I'm not going to say that the TPS can't go all the way out, but mostly they just make the idle run high when they go out.

Ok, there is something you can do. Talk to a local TV station, tell them that you think that the shops you have been to are trying to rip you off(or have). Tell them about your treatment and that you don't have the money to keep taking it to shops that are trying to steal from you. They should jump all over this and find good shop for you. Also they will send a crew over to get the full story. It makes me sad that you have had to go threw all of this! Beretta's are good cars, but do need work from time to time. Don't feel any shame for going to a TV station for help. Calling them may get things done faster than a email.

thanks! I can't believe this mess anymore and wish I could find a good/honest mechanic. It is pretty bad that I have had to go through this and the ones I have dealt with know I have been sick etc. My car has been a decent car until rotten mechanics ruined it and try to get me to put money into things that do not fix the problem!!!

Are you going to contact a TV station? I would bet they would get on this very quickly and find you the help that you need. Sometimes they set people up with a great shop and they don't have to pay anything(that's how they do it in my area). I would like to hear that your car is back to running great. I just don't see the point in you wasting any more time and money looking for the right shop. If you don't have the time to contact the stations, PM me and I'll try to email them and get something started. You can tell them that you don't want your face on TV and I'm sure that they will only use your voice. Also you can tell them you are just looking to get your car fixed and not wanting to start a fight with the shops that ripped you off. That would keep everything civil and be less of a worry for you.
