Beretta accident
I bought my 95 Z26 beretta 3 years ago from the original owner. Got it with 143,000 on it and am now up to 172. It has run like a champ forever, I absolutely love the car, never had a problem with it. Thus far its been perfect to me, until now, sittin at a red light and all of sudden, boom, rear ended. The guy is taking full blame for it but we'll see what happens. He did quite a number on it, so now it's just waitin on insurance. Muffler broke in half somehow, bumper is tight against the left rear wheel, frame is bent a little, and my driver seat somehow twisted a bit. Words cannot describe how angry I am. Depending on how things with insurance go, I may need some help and ideas on getting it back to normal.

Re: Beretta accident
Odds are they will want to total the car... Beretta's aren't worth much these days and any small fender bender like that they will just say "it costs too much to fix, so here's a check... you can buy it back if you want."
Best of luck with it.

Re: Beretta accident
that right there says they will total it. the other grand am i had got hit like that by and old lady going 60mph while i was stopped. destroyed everything on the back of the car and pushed the rear 1/4 into the tire, and bent the frame/unibody.hockeyguy1681 wrote: Muffler broke in half somehow, bumper is tight against the left rear wheel, frame is bent a little, and my driver seat somehow twisted a bit.
at the time the car was 5yrs old and booked for 8k and had 64k on it. they totalled that out pretty quick. so im gonna go out on a limb here and say the 14yr old car isnt worth more than 1500.
i got a little bump from someone on my car i got now and they want almost 1500 to reapair that.

Very sad to hear. It's up to you on rebuilding, they will not give you much money for your car. It may cost more to fix it than getting another, but that doesn't stop some people. You don't have to get a lawyer, but you can talk to one to see if anything else can be done.

Re: Beretta accident
Hey, I got in an accident in mine about a month ago, I'm 17 years old, it was a 95 beretta 6 cyl, we bought it when I just turned 16 with only 80,000 miles on it for $2900, my power booster went and I absolutely had no breaks and rear ended a dodge dakota. It was declared totaled and I still have it sitting at my house while I drive a 86 chevy S10. I absolutely loved the car to death, I named it Jeanette, but unfortunately the accident was my fault and I don't have collision or the money to fix it, I'm selling the car for $500.00 to pay off my dad for my S10. I was told it needs $3000 worth of work, if I had the money, i'd fix it because to me it's worth it, I'm hoping someone on here thinks so too. My email is bibith@comcast.net for more information or pictures.
