So you designed the falling apart door panels, sun visors and warping and cracking dashboard with rattling defroster vent ?-)

Arrg... I answered this post last night, typed 2 pages of info on the instrument panel construction for the L-bodies and it didn't post because the system logged me out. I'll re-type it once I have a few more minutes.

PS - I am only to blame for the IP and console woes you list.

Sorry, I thought everyone who has taken the time to become a member of this forum has also registered with Bstuff. Candidly I wish these 2 forums would merge. It would save all of us L-body fans a lot of time reading, reviewing and posting generally the same info on 2 different sites. What's the history on this subject?

Haven't posted on here in a long time, but the work has continued on the black (was) GTZ. Some of you may have been following all the resto work I've posted over on Bstuff. In case you haven't, the car's done. Pics are below. Also, all of the resto work in progress pics are on the photobucket site.

You can get the GTZ bumper decal from MRZ Performance or I believe Vintage Parts has them.

There was also a guy on B'Stuff offering them a while back.

Are the wheels going yellow as well? That lip is a PITA to tape properly.

I think I am going to run the black OE wheels for the winter. I am thinking of getting a set of 17's next spring, likely in chrome or polished aluminum.

Too follow up on that one... Some members of Bstuff still have grudges against a few on here who are very involved in the board here and as a whole the BerettaFest event. So it seems to be consistent that until one of those users attends a national gathering and actually meet who they disgust so much, they keep that grudge and will further prevent any possibly merging or transfer of power. Also the owner of Bstuff seems to never want to sell that domain name.

So there will forever be the split. yes I know the reply to this post is SO behind. But at the same time this thread dwindled away due to lack of updates.

I never realized this, but did you restore this car to just use as a winter beater type deal?

As we convinced Woody... Driving any car, no matter how much "rust proofing" you've done, it will begin to rust when exposed to winter salt conditions.

He has another one to keep nice. I think this is one just had a "freshening" to be the new DD. You know, like my original plan for my car. haha
