Re: LIM tightening sequence
I didn't know there was a specific one for the LIM.
I just start with the middle 4 long bolts and then do the 4 outside head bolts.

That sounds about right.
I can't find my damn Haynes.
But it should be running this afternoon.

Re: LIM tightening sequence
I have one, give me a sec.
criscross pattern going from inner to outer bolts. 115inch pounds. Assuming an SFI motor. Rocker arm nuts are 18FTLBS
And obviously don't go all the way to 115 in one round. Keep going around the block so to speak in like 3 rounds till you get to 115. Then go over those to make sure they are at 115 again after that.

Re: LIM tightening sequence
I think I'm a little over 115inch/lbs... Oh well.
Re: LIM tightening sequence
well, you divide 115/12 I think that gives you your foot pounds if I recall. So what... 9.6 FTLBS?
Dang. Glad I had an inch pound torque for mine.

Re: LIM tightening sequence
Its really not that sensitive. They've corrected the issue that they had when being over torqued and I've never been able to crack one.
I would rather have it on slightly tighter side of things without causing damage than not enough, last thing I want is a LIMG leak.

Re: LIM tightening sequence
Thanx guys. It's already done and a "tad " overtightened, but it will be in a running tomorrow.
And the rockers on a 3500 are 24 ft/lb.
