how do i replace engine

im replacing the engine in my 1996 chevy berretta z26, this is the first time and im determined to do it but need a lil help i needto know how to go on about doin it what do i need to take off and unbolt and in what order if any if anybody can give me like step by step i would highly appreciate it can someone help me with this thank you, also i need to know if the front tires needs to come off and if i unbolt the transmission or tranzaxle

not sure how far kingston is but i have everything to do a motor swap and should be able to get it done in weeekend no problem

Step one would be to buy a Haynes manual, without that you are destined to disaster.

oh yeah i have the haynes manual but do i need to remove the front wheels to get the axle out of the trans axle

No need to pull axles when swapping an engine. Pull the old one out from the top and drop the new one in. Done deal.

Yes, but I would listen to Woody... leave the trans in if you don't plan on doing anything to it.

it depends on whether or not i need to bring my engine hoistbut pay for gas food and some labor and im sure we can get it done in a day

well i started to take apart the engine today , remove the hoses , cooling fan and air condition hoses , i have the motor coming in monday and had my damn neighbor help me and god only knows what he did or where the wires go that he took apart,lol now you say i dont have to remove the axles or trans , how many and what bolts do i remove from the bottom, and how do i remove the engine from the transaxle
