radiator removal

whats the easy-st way to replace my radiator? im getting one from woody soon just need to know the best way to get the one in there out n the new one in
3 speed auto to a 5 speed manual
Body kit going on soon

Step 1: Drain the radiator.
Step 2: Disconnect the radiator hoses, removing them out of the way is recommended.
Step 3: Remove the fan. (this is a bitch sometimes, especially if you don't remove the upper hose)
Step 4: Remove the transmission cooler lines (if you have them attached to the radiator)
Step 5: Unbolt the radiator from the condenser and any other fastener points.
Step 6: Lean the radiator toward the engine and remove.

Reverse the process for installing.

If your coil packs are in the front( and I think they are, dang these 12 hour shifts) then you will have to take them and the ICM off too( do as one unit, unbolt the ICM and take the coils with it).

Ok...having done this twice to mine, here are a few tricks...and keep in mind that mine is a v6. Not sure what yours is.

Do as DTM pointed out but when you disconnect the radiator hoses, disconnect the lower hose from the water pump and leave it connected to the radiator and bring it out with the radiator. Swap the hose to the new radiator and put it in attached to the radiator.

There are two bolts holding the brackets at the top - radiator sits in rubber seats at the bottom (no bolts).

There are four (4) bolts fastening the condenser to the radiator; two on each side. Two are right behind the headlights; the other two can be accessed from under the car.

Also, the radiator seems to come out easier if you rotate it left 45 or so degrees after you tip it forward.

I have NEVER had to remove my coil packs/ICM.
