no power to injectors

Post by Carson21R »

89 base 3.1 swap. car cranks but wont run. it WILL start on starting fluid. has great spark but its not getting fuel. has ~50 psi with key on. what controls the injectors other than the computer? Ive tried 2 different computers too.

Do you have +12V at the injectors? (i think it's the pink wire)

stupid question, but did you check all fuses?

After that I would pull the rail and turn it over and see if they spray at all. The Injectors get a pulse width signal so its hard to see that on some meters.

You could also get a noid light set at autozone (they have them as loaners) as an alternative to pulling the whole rail.

I had a problem like that on my old 2.8. it would crank but not start and I had fuel pressure. It was a bad fuse in the fuse box.
