That insurance price is kinda high.. I pay like $225 for 6 months on my 89GT for similar coverage.

My current renewal is $394 for 6 months, and the reason why its that cheap is because I do NOT put full coverage on it. Since the car is only worth $1800 MAX almost no matter what you've done to it, then as soon as you get in a fender bender they will total your car and you end up with a salvage title... No thank you... I only have liability on there to protect my own personal items, such as my home.

If anything happens to the car I'll probably pay to fix it anyways.

I have full coverage, no deductible on anything, and I am paying less than 90 a month. When I hit the deer in 08', it was totaled out, but with the way MI and State Farm do the insurance on cars older than 10 years, there was no salvage title issued. I did have to pay (or lose) the amount of salvage to keep the vehicle, but I still did good. Insurance adjuster valued the vehicle at that time at 1950. I ended up with just about 1500, which went right back into the car, with regards to parts and such. Full coverage might seem excessive, but at least it will prevent you from having a total loss, especially if the car is in nice shape and worth the value. I currently pay full coverage for both the 03 caravan and the 94 beretta. With my old van though, I was just paying the state minimums. The 03 costs me 100 bucks a month to insure it. Bit high, but its my choice.

Wow, that's still pretty high though. The premium on my 91 is $199 for 6 months with State Farm.

That's two beretta's BTW... and my record isn't 100% clean.

Red is currently still registered and insured.

I forgot to mention that.

But as EVERY other money debate on these websites.... Its ALL dependent on where you live, so any number you get is just a reference point for that location, and null and void for your area.

Ok, that makes more sense then. I'm not sure what it is for all 3 of mine. I probably don't want to think about it...
