Re: Project 91 "SS" 3400/5spd
It's weird that Dave's tune isn't working with my car, since I know he's done a bunch with other cars that run great. Seems like his "stock 3400" tune should be lean if anything...considering the headers, tb, uim, etc.

Re: Project 91 "SS" 3400/5spd
I don't tend to TUNE off of the WB at part throttle since the ECM is going to correct anything you shoot for if its not seeing what it wants at the narrow band... Plus the change of the WB is too quick to really see whats going on right at that second. All of my part throttle tuning has been done off my learning trims which get it right at the 14.7 you want to see.
A heated O2 will definitely make some of your headaches go away. Does your WB have a narrow band output? Mine does and I'm getting ready to hook that into my ECM to use the WB sensor itself to do all of the tuning and ECM control. BUT I dont want to make it so permanent like on Eric's car... When his WB crap the bed the ECM got all pissed because it had no sensor to work off of, I want to put the input on a switch so I have a fail safe mode.

Re: Project 91 "SS" 3400/5spd
No, it doesn't have a NB output. And I want to be able to use it on other cars anyway.
I'm also trying to narrow down any possible mechanical issues that could be causing the problem:
I checked the FPR and it is working properly. ~42psi at idle and ~55 with the vacuum line unhooked.
I tested all the injectors both connected to the fuel rail with the key on and individually with an air compressor set at 60psi - no leaks.
Stock o2 sensor seems to match my wideband in closed loop with steady BLMs at part throttle the wideband reads 14.7.
IAC steps are in the 20s when idling.
Spliced connections for Multec-2 injectors and the MAP sesnor are soldered. Rest of wiring harness is stock.
Anything I could be missing?

Well I'm hoping 2011 I'll be able to come see your nice cars so you can have a junker sitting around all your nice rides
I would love to be able to have mine looking better but as of right now I just want it to run BUT as long as I haven't had any problems 2011 Bfest I will be there one way or a nother just don't want to have to trailor my poor car in would be nice to take my first cross country drive and be able to be in the car I want even in the hot spots with no A/C I still would rather be in my beretta rather then towing it!!

I told Tiff I want to take the Beretta but she wants to bring the bulldog, and I don't want his slobber on my new upholstery.
I would tell her tough crap, but the last time Dozer spent a night away from Tiffany he had a stress-triggered seizure because he's such a mama's boy. That was last October, and he's just over a year old now...so maybe he would be ok. I'm going to talk to her about it tonight. Her sister can watch him in our house... If we do bring him though, he is a lot of fun, but it would have to be at the hotel only since he would probably fart during the wedding.

Ohh come on that slober is just added back seat charicture (sorry im a horrible at spelling hence why I'm going to school to be a mechanic) I know recently I pulled my back seat and found a LOT of dog hair even after vaccuming after every trip he takes with me so I don't blame you for not wanting a dog all over your new interior

Re: Project 91 "SS" 3400/5spd
This morning it stalled when it sat idle for a couple minutes after I backed it out of the garage and went back in the house to grab my phone. I was just walking out the door when I heard it sound like it was sucking in a ton of air from a vacuum leak and idling at ~400rpm then died. Looked at the gauge and it was pegged at lean. Fired it back up and ran fine, so I'm thinking it must be one of the idle VE adjustments and switching to closed loop killed it, not a vacuum leak.
I'm still trying to figure out what could possibly be the issue...either electrical or mechanical.
I also remembered I've had two ECMs running it as well as all the stuff I listed yesterday...and two different IACs on different throttle bodies. Checked Napa to be sure all the sensors I reused from my 95 were the same PN for a 91 and they are.
But tonight I'm taking it to get the paint cut & buffed. Didnt get anything done with it last night because I had to pick up our new bed and set up our newly painted (no longer raspberry) bedroom.

Re: Project 91 "SS" 3400/5spd
have you tried different ecm's with the same bin file. i know you said you had two ecm's running but maybe one is bad.
i think i found my issue and it might have been a pcm going south. sometimes 10 minutes into a ride it would act like i unplugged the maf. multiple maf's later i moved onto the pcm.

Yes, same bin on multiple ECMs.
Got most of the car cut & some of it buffed. Looks pretty gently caressing awesome for a $400 paint job!
