Fuel Injector Ratings

Post by Asylum »

Here are the stock ratings for the various engine we tend to deal with.

90-94 3.1 16.6# Multitek 1 @ 43.5 PSI

94-96 3100 17.42# Multitek 1 @ 43.5 PSI (corrected)

00-05 3100 22.5# Multitek 2 @ 55 PSI

96-99 3400 19# Multitek 1 @ 43.5 PSI

00-05 3400 22.5# Multitek 2 @ 55 PSI

3500 24# Multitek 2 @ 55 PSI

As you can see 3100's and 3400's used the same injectors in the same years so all the hand wringing over injector swaps is really quite unwarranted.

I currently have 3800 injectors in my 3500 at 55 PSI which to me seems excessive, however Rodney has it running pretty well.

Correction... 94-96 are NOT 19lb injectors. They are 17lb ones. It wasn't till the 3400 came out 96-99 that they used the red ring 19lb versions.

96 Beretta injector picture

GB Part #83211125

Notice the Blue vs Red base ring, that notes 17lb to 19lb difference.

94-96 3100 is ACDelco #2171388 or #17113572
96-99 3400 is ACDelco #17113573

lol.. if someone wants to try and prove me wrong.. just try.

I always thought that they were 19, but after some more reasearch I'm pretty sure you are correct there Jon.

So a 97-99 3100 would have 19s correct?

94-99 3100 are 17.42# at 43psi. The 00+ injectors are 21.31# at 55psi.

Not sure about "not listening" but thats cool. I don't do anything on the site and brad doesn't update anything other than the software to keep it up to date. If no one wants to update the articles, just bitch about it on other forums like this one. Same thing right?

Sounds like Brad needs to get on the bandwagon and correct stuff or get some help.

We have told everyone that we aren't doing anything more than keeping the site alive. If anyone wants more than that to happen, it is on them to do something about it.

If the information is wrong and whomever the hell is in charge over there is aware of it, then either correct it or take it down!

If not then the entire collection of information on the site is suspect and rendered pretty much useless. :Search:

Yes I read it and find it somewhat incredibly irresponsible.

People go there looking for information from a "trusted" source yet there is an open admission that the published content may in fact be crap!

And there has been a wonderfuck as to why traffic is down on the site!

It's not the format, it's the content, and that is a sad situation.

Just my .02

Too bad you don't care quite enough to do anything more than bitch about it.

I'm not bitching about it and it's certainly not personal. But I'm not sure what you may be suggesting.

I don't have editting rights (which is probably a good thing).

Not one person has a flow sheet from the two part numbers used to prove me wrong either.

94-96 3100 is ACDelco #2171388 or #17113572
96-99 3400 is ACDelco #17113573

ok. so the major source of information for our engines went down over this petty bickering. I don't know or care who is at fault, who is being an asswipe, who is blowing this out of proportion, but I'm here to say that this is fucking bullshit! All this bitching pisses me off! Here I was about to do some major research on 60* and this crap happens! I'm sure I'm not the only one! Damn it man!
