Idea for 2011 BFest - Decade Club Photo
This has been floating around in my head since Chicago...
At next year's Fest I think it would be a great idea to organize a "Decade Club" group photo for owner's who have had their cars for 10 years or more. I know there are a lot of people who have been around for a long time, but had several cars - but this is to acknowledge and honor those who have had the same one for a decade or more.
A few people and cars that come to mind are Geoff and his Z26, Paul Keller and his GTU, Eric and his 3500 GT, myself and my 93 GT, Seth and his 89 GT(Z), Dustin and his 91 base... and so on.
I'm sure there are more, and a lot of it hinges on who shows up and even which car they bring - but this might be good incentive and I think it would certainly be a good idea wherever the fest is.

You better hurry. My '92 is about due for replacement or some serious surgery ala DTM's floor repair.
I'm going to take a good hard look at it over the winter and decide if it's worth saving.
Hell I bought this POS in the Feb 1992 with a Nov '91 build date. (1992 Registration)

Great idea Kurt! I know there are a lot of people that have had their cars a long time. I've had my GTZ for 11 yrs and 112,000 miles right now... heck even our baby Beretta (the Z26) we've had for 5 years now. I'm dating myself by the minute....
Anyway great idea, and I definitely would love to have this for next year. Thanks!!!!!

No problemo, I'd still love to work a Model Beretta Contest into the picnic also if there is enough interest on that front. It seems like a lot of members have model Berettas and even the dealership promo cars - which if customized I'd have no problem having in the contest either.

Uh oh... that's a toughy....
Not to be against you, I'd have to say no in general - otherwise the flood gates may open. That's more of decision-in-my-mind that involves people who will come out of the wood work with cars owned by friends, or neighbors - or who knows...
However, if it was your parent's car and you got your license/permit back in the day and now own it - then absolutely you should be in. Guess it just depends.

23 years in September this year! May not be many more, passenger pinch weld buckled during a failed state inspection the other day! Seeing body shop next week to see if it can be patched for one more year.
