Re: 1996 Z26 Interior Question?
Wow I got back late. There are alot of posts here. I've been doing ok and still working on both cars. How's the GS doing?
Someone put Z26 seats in my car, the front and back are the same. I still think that they may have run out of the Z panels on the line and just used the base ones on your car.

If he put it the other way I think he'd lose the effect of it being a real NOS bottle.3X00-Modified wrote:96z26 you know that nitrous bottle in your avatar is mounted backwards right? The bottom of the bottle should be at the back of the car so when under power all the nitrous is at the base of the bottle where the pickup straw is.
I have nothing good to give to this thread other than my 96 has the carpet type material... But that's a base conversion
What I really would like to do, is cover the rear panels with the same material so they looked less cheap.
And DOH!! on the NOS bottle... LOL
LOL!LOL! Dont feel bad ..... your not the only person. When I go to the track and my wife gose, she brings the Beretta. I leave the trunk open and have about 50 guys always say ... WOW! that's on a bottle, and a big one at that! LOL! I say, yeah it'a a 20lb bottle

Yah, someone must have done it or swapped in different panels. If The Z26 had come with the rear panels covered I'd have them in my car by now =P.

Re: 1996 Z26 Interior Question?
One of the things I like better about 91-93 interior. Better door pulls and interior panels. Woot!
91 "SS" - WOT 3400/5spd - 13.29@101.6 - World's fastest N/A FWD Beretta
96 "T56" LS/6spd/8.8 RWD swap - 13.45@104.7 lol

Yeah, I've always wanted to swap to the 91-93 Door Panels/interior. But I'd have to chop them up a smidge for my seat belts. So much nicer.
Re: 1996 Z26 Interior Question?
Just get doors from a 93 lol

Re: 1996 Z26 Interior Question?
Nah, I have some basically brand new doors from a 94 to swap in. How would I go about mounting the seatbelt to the B-pillar anyhow? Just doesn't seem a safe thing to do.
Re: 1996 Z26 Interior Question?
The same way GM did would be a good place to start bro! If you want a set of 91-93 door panels to cut up, i have some that some idiot cut holes in for speakers, plz dont attack a good set lol. Other than the speaker holes, they are MINT.

Re: 1996 Z26 Interior Question?
Yah I don't want a set with speaker holes in them lol. If I were to do it, I wouldn't hack up a good set, I would tastefully modify a good set so that they could continue to look good in my car. lol! The yard crushes more good sets than I could possibly destroy. The only problem I think I would run into are the different shades of gray GM used. But I have not compared them to see how large of a difference it would be. Maybe only Cack would notice =P.
If GM's way is bolt on, then I would consider it and swap to the older interior and belts. I really don't like the "automatic" seat belts.

Re: 1996 Z26 Interior Question?
Fill the holes with speakers! And i think the bracket is welded on, cut one of of a car and drive on down ill weld it in for ya.
91-93 is grey green. Its a big difference lol. Just do a full swap or spray your dash lol.
And does ANYONE actually use the passive sest belt? Lawl, id fall on my effin face getting out of my car if i left my seat belt latched.

Lol, it's funny to watch it in the product training movies =P. Maybe I'll make the interior black. lol..
I don't need more speakers, the ones in my kick panels are plenty.
