Wind Advisory + Shopping cart
Wind Advisory + Shopping cart
So there is a wind advisory in effect until tomorrow night for most of the Midwest. Unfortunately, I had to work and my DD was in the crossfire for the shopping center across the street. I saw it happen, cart musta been doing 30 mph with that one stupid floppy caster in the front. It's my trust rusty, with orange peel rattle can paint job on the front. But seriously?
Before:

After. Kinda pissed. Who doesn't put shopping carts away when the wind is blowing 40 mph?

Re: Wind Advisory
Most stores have some sort of printed policy on this, where they are not responsible for damage caused by carts that were not put away properly.
Ugh, seriously I put those things away when I get to the store lol. I hate when there are carts flying around the lot. Take the extra walk to put the damned thing away.
So far we have branches all over, and the first victim I noticed was a G6 at an apartment complex near here that had a small tree fall across it's hood.

I like Aldi in my area... They have a coin rental deal, you put in a quarter to get a cart and then when you return the cart you get your quarter back... Similar to airport carrage rentals, but I seem to notice near no one just leaving the cart in the parking lot, they all seem to want their quarter back... LOL

Yeah, its amazing how that works. I have a feeling a dime would be just as effective.3X00-Modified wrote:I like Aldi in my area... I wish all stores had that system. Because now I have to fix it, I won't drive it like that.

Re: Wind Advisory + Shopping cart
I watched something like that happen about 5 years ago. I was sitting in front of the store waiting for my mom and there was an old lady crossing the street, the guy that was driving through beeped at her to make her hurry, kind of an a-hole thing to do. He parked his F-250 Super Duty away from other cars to avoid any dings or dents from other people. After he went in a big gust of wind sent a shopping cart across the parking lot and into his driver's side door. Karma is very real lol.

I laughed at a video earlier that day of a little girl getting face planted by a dog. Hmmm.

Re: Wind Advisory + Shopping cart
ya the wind here has been horrible...lol everyone's halloween decorations ended up in my yard... even pumpkins. mean while my decorations stayed planted firmly in the ground!! I chalk it up to the 350 push rods! redneck engineering at its finest! I lost all my stakes for my grave yard, so i used some old push rods! obviously worked like a charm! hahahaha
as for car damage.. a few years back remember my hood got ripped up and smashed into my windshield on the corsi?? sucks bad!
then we had an oil barrel that blew over, blew up a hill and then launched 15 feet in the air!!!
I HATE WIND!

Re: Wind Advisory + Shopping cart
I like living in an area where there are lots of hills and trees... Much less wind out here. Granted when we do get a lot it can bring down some limbs, but with the hills the wind is subsided most of the time.
