Well, the point was more that a 3400 is significantly more powerful than an old 3.1. And the old 3.1 and quad weren't that far off of each other.
Not to mention, I definitely prefer the driving dynamics of the torquey V6 all day over the more gutless quad. (and my Ecotec for that matter)

If your even thinking of putting in a V6 in this car then you obviously don't know how rare these cars are with the Quad 4 engines in them. I can't tell if that's blue or grey interior but the blue on blue interior with the quad 4 there were only 250 of these ever produced in that color combo which I got lucky enough to purchase. I just hope it goes to a good home and not get ruined.

Re: 92 Quasar GTZ Quad - Rust Free
well my 3.1L smoked a quad four the quad has more horse power than the 3.1 but what the 3.1 lacks in horse power it gains in torque so it will get off the line quicker than a quad but it really depends on the driver. and you only live 2 hours from me so im really thinking about it.

Re: 92 Quasar GTZ Quad - Rust Free
When I was a young tough guy my quad got smoked stop light racing vs an 88-90 GT with either the 2.8 or 3.1. Quads don't have any low end power. You really have to wind them up.

Interesting quad v. V6 debate. Now, who's got the $$ to buy the car?
