1988 GT 2.8 *work in progress*
Alright guys little about me im 24 born and raised here in Washington state. Just happened to stumble accrost a Beretta after my 91 Honda Civic got sold out from under me. love the Beretta always did even before I owned it I just rebuilt the 2.8 in it basicly all new except injectors and alt. Put a comp cam stage 1 in it just to give it a bit more of a jump. Here is the pics of the car along with some things that I need to replace. I may change the color over to black with maroon accents when that time comes.

Here's just a shot of the car itself no major body damage for an 88 I think the passenger side may have been in a ditch once to me it doens't look like it lines up.

Heres the tail as some of you know shes not running to good a bit dusty from the gravel road we had to take home
Sorry about the vinals on the car they are from a local record label that I support

Car needs painted bad This is the worst on the hood someone took it to Macco unfortunatly

Heres the Drivers side door pannel someone didn't take the inner retaining screw for the door handle and snapped it off

Passenger side is actually in great condition a few parts of the vinal are peeling but I belive i can repare it

Heres the door jam plastic on drivers and passenger side (drivers side is pic #1 passenger #2) This has been one of the hardest things to find in tact if anyone has them in blue let me know

Heres the back seat other then sun damage to the speaker cover and top of the seat fabric itself it's in great condition no rips or anything

Steering wheel needs replaced I snapped it on my way out of the car one day if anyone has one for sale please check out the wanted posts I have a post up in there.

My poor dash has seen better days I'm thinking in the future I'll customize a dash for newer gages to go with the 3400 and also retro fit vacum turbo and oil temp gages into the passenger side dip in.

What yo uhave all been waiting for the motor. It's a bit dirty but not horrible I had my power seering pressure hose blow out on me after replacing the pump thinking the seals where bad during the rebuild. I bypassed the A/C due to a LOT of problem with it from needing new evaporator to new clutch on the unit itself. More pictures to come Once I get into the suspencion I'll post more anything on plastic let me know PLEASE I'll pay for shipping and the lot of it. Hope you guys like the beater soon to be the beast!!!

Yeah you got some work to do there, but nothing too bad. Remember one thing at a time and don't give up. I myself have alot to do. It's hard sometimes. Just think of it as a fight. Today I will fight with this problem. If it doesn't go well retreat and come back later on to start the fight again. Small changes to the things you look at all the time can help. I see that you have a cover for the dash and keeps you from getting down by looking at it. Keep up the good work!
Hey snag a strut tower bar. It does help and makes the car feel stiffer.
By the way I dream of headligths that clear. Even after all my work on them the still look a little yellow.

I know I'm really lucky with that and also the dash mat came with the car so your right I don't get to look at it to often. The paint I think I'm going to just prime the rusty spots and block it out next summer suspencion this winter the strut bar I agree would come in very handy for hard corners. I don't drive like I use to when I was a kid but I think we all like to have some fun going on our own personal favorite strech of cornered road. I've looked up most the suspencion parts I have thought about but now knowing about the neon rear disks I might just have to re-think my rear end a little bit. The front I have worked out it's just waiting on the funds to be able to order parts. I'll probably order bit by bit and finalize it when I'm ready to install by getting all my poly bushings. I may have a lead on a 90 with blue intior as well so I might have just what I need to really get some of the intior knocked out. I'll keep you updated once I get my issues with it running figured out I'll get on the air intake and get some pics uploaded!

Man that bar even helps in taking a turn on to another street. I have worn out springs and I swear up and down that the rear one killed off half of the roll turning on to a street. I had the front one on months before I got the rear one. It takes a long time to get the MRZ rear because they are out of the country. I still hate my springs, but now like to drive the car.
Be sure to get a Styluss CAI. They are made for these cars, but you will have do some cutting near the prop rod hinge. Buy the K&N that he sells. I bought a bigger one with a cone filter in the top and had alot of trouble getting it to fit. With that said if you want a small amount more of top end power then the WAI would be the way to go. You wouldn't have to cut anything. I had a 3.1 so I know it had good low end TQ. As for the 2.8 I don't know about the TQ. The 3.1 is just a 2.8 with a larger stroke. You may be able to use the tube near the TB (off of the CAI) to make a WAI. Then you would have both to test and see what you like best.

That's a bit far out for my taste. With the lower unpainted I think that the red areas should be polished. But that's just me. Did you do it on the car?

No I had everything off changed out all those gaskits Eventually I want to be able to switch out the heat sheild covers for the wires to a blue as well and when I do get a good paint on it im going to pull everything and get it shot the stock blue color but add a bit more metalic flake with a pearl clearcoat on it with a similar red color as accents on it. Long process but I should be able to get it done myself for the most part maybe some rust prevention that I wouldn't be able to do alone.
