wanna convert to 5x120 bolt pattern??
Right now i am currently riding on 18's and the bolt pattern is 5x120 so obviously i have to use adapters which is okay but it shakes and not such a smooth ride. So i was wondering would it be a pain/costly to convert from a 5x100 to 5x120 so i can get rid of the adapters and keep the rims instead of looking for new ones.
or should i just look for some new rims that have the 5x100 bolt pattern and save money of the bolt conversion???
*PS* i got these rims as a gift from my uncle (totaled his BMW) so i don't really want to get rid of em since i would make me look a dick

Not sure how you would go about adapting other than changing a lot of stuff... Including rotors and such. The current bearing doesn't have the space to support a 5x120 ring so it cant even just be re-drilled. Are your spacers hubcentric? or do they center off the studs?

Custom hubs would do it, but then they wouldnt fit in the hats of the front rotors... So you would need rotors too, then that leads to a new caliper bracket and caliper...
The easiest way to do it is to get some hubcentric spacers that center on your hub, AND in the wheel.

With good adapters you should have no vibrations, assuming other parts are up to par like tire balancing and wheel bearings etc

I'm running 5x120.67, but that's way more work than someone usually wants to do just for a set of wheels. What's the offset on those BMW wheels, don't they usually have close to a 0 offset?

Yeah good point cliff, bmw's usually run very low offset, even in stock form.
But looking at his sig they look aftermarket.

That may be true... Mine has a shimmy at 72-75 or so, and I have 0.5" spacers not adapters... BUT then again when I just jacked it up 20 min ago I felt some play on the inner tierod ends. So it may be time to retire my Delrin ones since they are just a bit sloppy and just get the Moog Poly two piece ones. I have no vibrations or shimmy to speak of, and that's with 1" adapters on the back and 1 1/2" spacers on the front.

Time to replace my steering components... LOL
IIRC the car still has factory TieRod ends on it... I've never replaced them and one still has that bulge type boot you see on the stock ones.
