My Headlights Don't Work!

Post by Styluss »

Here's the deal: 1989 Beretta Base, Euro headlight conversion.
Headlights dont work. They had worked for the majority of the drive home as I recall seeing them lit up against the back of another car. I stopped to get the mail and then when I hit my driveway, they were dead. I checked every fuse, I checked all the wiring. I even switched out the headlight switch. Nothing... I even tried to turn the brights on, again nothing.

The parking lights come on as do the turn signals, fog lights, brake lights... all that. I know that there is a circuit breaker in the headlight switch itself, but as I said, I swapped out the headlight switch to no avail. There is no way to check the headlight circuit breaker, but the "headlight minder ding" was still operational which leads me to believe that the circuit breaker is fine.

Thoughts? This is really irking me... Especially since I can now technically not drive at night until this is fixed.

The circuit breaker is in the switch... I'd try the dimmer switch on the column.

Break out a test light and start following the voltage. It cant be too hard.
