That would be the VVT engine. Not what you want.

Thanks rodney nd gerson, I just wanted to know it was 400 bucks. I found a few in my area for 450 with under 65k on tgem with a 6 month warranty gonna be picking one up soon. Milzy is gonna sell me a whole swap kit for really cheap, so I think a 3500 swap is better than the norm 3400. Cant wait to get my 3.69fdr nd 2363 stall converter trans.

Gerson your money order is gonna go out tomorrow.

The only downside to that 3500 is the gas mileage. I rented a G6 sedan a couple years ago and that thing sucked gas like a monster, it performs pretty good tho. It seriously had to have gotten less than 20 mpg under normal driving. I'm not tryin to tell ya to not do it, but the 3400 in my 02' monte gets much better mileage, and performs just as well I think.

yes i deffinately think my tuner aka ^ jon lol. well at bfest of course. deff knows what hes doing with hp tuners, i mean i think his car runs very good for his mods.

my purple car which was very restricted for a 3400, it had older style 3100 intake manifolds on it, at bfest jon did a little tune on my 96 ecm, he deleted some stuff...and my mpg went from 23mpg all they way up to 30mpg and a week later it got 32mpg driving at 65mph with a 2095 stall. i think a stock 3500 should get around 25mpg at least, prolly higher. i think with jons tune with a 3.69fdr and a 2363 stall converter i should still be around 22mpg.

all im hoping to do is drive to the track with over 20mpg run a mid 14 sec 1/4 and than drive home with no problems. i believe that is very possible. i did it with the purple car but that was mid 15 sec and finally got a 15.2 pass with a 97 ecm swap. and that got over 30mpg.
