quad 4 trans

ok i feel stupid for asking this but will the quad 4 trans work with my 3.1 harness and motor?

Harness can be made to work, but the bellhousing on the trans is different, so no it won't bolt up as-is.

thats what i didint want to here but alreddy knew lol....... i want a 5 speed but i wanna keep my 3.1..... and all berettas that came 5 speed are quads..... were can i get a trans for my 3.1 that will pritty much bolt in the engin bay........ im am buying a quad 4 beretta with a bad motor. any advice?

That's where you're wrong! Yes, all Quad 4 Beretta's are 5 speeds, but they did make plenty of V6 powered 2.8/3.1 5 speeds as well from 87-93 in the Base, GT, GTU, and Indy models! There is no factory GTZ or Z26 V6 5 Speed cars...

ok so i need to find an older v6 5peed n grab the linkage, trans, mouts and swap them to what i am getting....... so no matter what i do i got to cut and weld something lol?

How bad is the GTZ your getting? What year? Color paint, interior? Rust? Pics? $$$?

the car aint bad no rust...... motor is shot( cracked head) im going to try for 700 and gimmie a few i got to dig thou my computer to find the pics.... it has been posted on here b4 but he wanted more for it caz it came with a crap ton of stuff like z seats ground eff spoilers grills motor parts and rims......

Ah, you're talking about Speedy's 1994 brm Quad 4 Z26! Buy it and fix it! Then take your current car with the ricer wing and ebay body kit and junk it please! lol

actually im putting my wite one on a race track caz its so far beond saveing and yes the body kit will go to the track with it lol it runs Grate but the rotted body it to bad the actuall bumper it rotting off..... one side is disconnected

well just to let u kno i do not need the trans help a wile back i bought a 5 speed and a 3.1 out of a 93 sunfire or sunbird cant remember but i thought i got screwed after i rebuilt them both...... but now i am getting a phone number to get ahold of the guy that still has it and going to go and get it here soon so i nolonger nee a trans but will i need any mounts to get it into the q4 im buying?

To put a V6 5 speed into a Quad 4 5 speed, should be the same! Why are you putting a 3.1 and 5 speed from a Sunbird into a RARE Quad Z26, that's really stupid! You're going to go from 180hp down to 140hp! LAME!

the motor is shot and i dont think that this car is relly rare..i dont think were talking bout the same one this is a purple one.. n my 3.1 has a little more than 140 prolly maybe 155 or 160 now with the pluges wires wai 2.5 exoust and others my unkle did to it b4 i got it 2 yr ago... n plus next winter a 3400 will be lowerd into it and the trans should bolt up to that if im not mistaken

Yes, we are talking about the same car! It's Speedy's Black Rose Metallic (Purple) 1994 Quad 4 Z26, it's one of 896 Quad 4 Z26's ever made, so yes it's VERY RARE! I should know, I have one... lol

Also plugs and wires don't add any HP! You'd be lucky to add 10hp with intake and exhaust to a 3.1, even if it's brand new. lol

Yes, a 3400 will bolt up to a 3.1 V6 5 speeds trans.

thats y i seid maybe 150 160 lol i dont know n yes i just did the same thing u did went back n looked to make sure..... i personally do not like the q4 i dont know them at all eather i know 3.1 3100 3400 and 3500 pritty well and know how not to f*** them up lol and know how to work on them thats all ive owned since i was 16 i do kno whow to work on car but i like to know my motor. now tranny i have no clue
