HELP!!!!
ill be doing a 3500 swap and want to get all of my information correct before i do the swap. heres goes nothing lol and if im missing anything please feel free to chip in thanks...
1st, i know i need a tce crank trigger and seeing as the timing is set in ecm according to 3400mod it doesnt matter what the timing mark is set at.
2nd, i was talked out of the stock 3100 injectors because it was simple to do in my shoes...so now ill be using the multec 2 injectors and a 2000+ fpr. and does IFR stand for injector flow rate?
ill be using a large port 3100 uim so i there no need to grind the 3500 uim which will be for sale but at a later date anyways, which tb should i use up until i have enough money for the tce 65mm tb. should i use the stock 52mm or a 56mm tb and keep in mind i want to keep cruise control for the simple thing that everything on the vehicles works and is 99% rust free. now which tb should i use?
ill also be using 3400 exhaust manifolds with a wicked 2 1/2" dp into a cutout and magnaflow 2 1/2" cat with a 2 1/2" catback welded into a hooker aerochamber or a spintech muffler havent decided yet but ill be taking jons idea with the exhaust centered out with dual tips.
ill be using my oil pan since it has the low oil light, and the 3500 doesnt.
ill be using my timing cover i know. also i know ill be using my harmonic balancer, and my alternator along with p/s

Re: HELP!!!!
Pretty sure you can't use a 3100/3400 oil pan on a 3500. I could be wrong but I recall something different about them.
Doesn't matter what exhaust gaskets you use.

Re: HELP!!!!
There is enough difference between the two and IIRC its part of the bolt pattern on the block thats different so there is no way to adapt it.
I'll read this over again later when I have time and reply some more...

Re: HELP!!!!
No, but just connect the two wires together and ground out the sensor... Simple fix.

Re: HELP!!!!
I asked Ben if it would be ok to send a 3100 throttle shaft for my TCE and he let me do it. That way everything stays stock.
I can get a pic of my TCE if you want. It's not on the car.

Re: HELP!!!!
Well that was just for the TCE. You can put the shaft in, it's not hard and I would be happy to tell you how. I posted it somewhere in one of my topics, but I'll repost. Tell me if you want the info.
I really should do a how to on this and get a sticky. It's just that not many are looking to do this sort of thing.

Re: HELP!!!!
yea thats true, i just started reading up on the lx5 throttle body. idk if it would be the same write up would it?
i emailed ben, not only about the lx5 and throttle shaft but i had some other questions that i needed answered about a cam setup. so i figured why not perfect to ask multiple questions.
maybe post it up maybe im not the only one on here looking for the write-up. maybe post it up on 60degree forum also i read some people were asking about the lx5 to fit.

Re: HELP!!!!
If I'm right you need an adapter to use that TB. This may be a bit harder than the 3400/3100 or TCE/3100 shaft swap. I have to have the LX5 in my hands. The pic on WOT shows that the spring has a seat unlike the 3100. Shouldn't be a problem though. I should be off Tuesday and will have a chance to do a small write up. If not it may be a few days.
