Chevy Love
Re: Chevy Love
Yeah, that probably hurt you pretty bad. Cool stuff though, I like your car, it pulls off the front lip really well.
My POS pushrod V6 even sees 6600 rpm on a daily baisis

Re: Chevy Love
You couldn't do the pulls yourself? Every car I ever paid for dyno time >I< did the pulls. Also, how many pulls? Lastly, how many miles are on the motor, did you recently do a compression test?

Re: Chevy Love
Little background on the car....
LOTS OF MILES, Daily driver and see's past 6500 rpm's every day. Heck its a quad and fun to drive up top of the powerband
Engine was ran with no oil for 16 miles. (to work and back). The oil pressure sensor broke and I had to get home to fix it. Lifters started ticking right when I was down the street from home. So Im sure the cylinder walls are a bit damaged.
No I have not done a compression test. I have a spare LG0 on an engine stand awaiting me to begin the work. I got it down to the bare block and crank. Just need to buy parts and go from there.
This dyno was just for kicks....I might hit a Jet dyno just to see the difference.
And no they do not allow you to drive the car on the dyno.
On a good note I have a friend with an all motor LD9 cavalier (bolts on's and secret cams) and he dynoed 145hp on a "Jet" dyno so Im sure with an LG0 I will get better numbers on a jet dyno.
God I love my GTZ. Felt good when it was on the dyno and the guy popped the hood and everyone was shocked to see the nice engine bay and hear the car roar. All eyes were on her

I know that feeling for sure, but I made sure to make a decent impression even though the trans couldn't hold its end of the bargain.DOHC_tuner wrote: God I love my GTZ.
