Had a set of Fuzion HRi's laying around. Factory size of 205/55/16. Slapped them on today. Wasn't really happy with the 215/60/16's. Even though you're talking a 1/2 inch less width, they just weren't handlers. I could feel the difference. And yes, for those wondering you DO need a spacer to run that size. It's both taller and narrower. I'm happy back at factory size. Like the new shoes too. I change my tires pretty damn often now that I think about it....................................... :D

Speedy: Never. You wouldn't buy it if I gave it to you and bought your plane tickets. :P

Geoff: No idea man, like I said. Playing it by ear. The gas crisis is actually hurting me pretty good right now among other economic issues.

On a related note, I should note these Fuzion HRi's are some NOISY bastards on the road. Rather annoying. I wonder how long till THIS set gets swapped.......

I doubt it was the width that caused you to need the spacer, its more the extra diameter that made the spacer necessary. It puts the tire closer to the spring perch. You can run 225 width in a stock diameter (50 Profile for 16") and they clear everything just fine, you may just rub the fender liner on full turn lock.

Also with the tires being close to 1" larger in diameter you had so much more sidewall, thats probably a big reason for the handling to feel much worse. Stock sidewall is 4.4" you went up to 5.1"

Noise sounds similar to the BFGoodrich G-Force Tires I once had on the Red car, and then the rear of Pinky...

I'm much happier with my Falken FK 452

i wouldnt have to, it would be free!

love the car so far though, on a side note, i did come accross a free 55 panal wagon, and 55 stepside, both have been sitting since the early 80's, but they are deffinetly fixable..... hehehe.

Yes Jon I know. It was a typo. Meant to say 'this size' not width.

Well, I've come to the conclusion, I HATE Fuzion HRi's. Not impressed at all. Think I'm gonna order a set of Kelly Chargers through my company. They will only cost me $75 apiece shipped that way.

Here's a pic of those.

I had some Kelly Chargers on my 83 Z28. Hard as rocks and didn't grip worth a crap. But that was almost 20 years ago. What's the treadwear on those?
