service manual 1989
Anyone have this that can scan out the routing for the vents? My friends 1989 will not switch from vent, to defroster to floor. It kinda half switches

Re: service manual 1989
I'd check for a vacuum issue first.

Re: service manual 1989
It's a vacuum leak almost guaranteed. Start with the line that runs behind the battery. It's almost always the culprit. Also the other usual suspect is the line coming off of the CC vacuum.

^^ This. It was the line by the battery in my case.

This is vacuum controlled? It really feels like a cable that controls this car.

Whoops, my bad, assumed you had A/C. With the cables it's likely a stretched or bound up cable. I have a factory manual. Gonna try and get you some scans here in a bit tonight.

Re: service manual 1989
Wow, I find this EXTREMELY strange.
I have THREE factory service manuals and supplements for the 1988 Beretta (yes, I know the one posted on is an '89, but they should be virtually identical if not completely) and not ONE lists or shows in any way ,shape , or form a cable driven heater system nor how to diagnose OR repair one. So you're SOL on my end, sorry. I have to admit, I've NEVER seen one in person either. They've all always been the three knob , vacuum driven style. Beretta OR Corsica. I did find you a diagram on the heater/a/c system and ducting system. So here are THOSE scans. Sorry I can't be more helpful. Good luck.

Re: service manual 1989
here it is!
the car is a bit odd, it is a GT with the wheels tilt cruise, but had no spoiler and no AC.
