95 2.2l Beretta will not shift from 2 to 3 (intermittent)
Hello all,
My daily driver is a 1995 Beretta base model. 2.2l I4, TH 125 c transmission. The car has 48,000 miles. I inherited this car from my late Grandmother last summer. I've driven it daily up until about a month ago when the transmission stopped shifting from 2nd to 3rd. I had it pressure tested, and was told that the pressures were correct and that the problem was likely internal. I let it sit for a month or so... decided to take it for a short drive to the store... just on a whim.... and low and behold, it shifted to 3rd, and converter then subsequently locked up shortly after that. I drove it for about 3 days back and forth to work... and yesterday, it stopped shifting from 2nd to 3rd again.
Any tips or assistance is greatly appreciated. I've been searching for days finally given up. I got the most information from this forum, so I decided to join up and see if you could help.
