save this 92!! $350
Re: save this 92!! $350
i called about this car, he broke the ignition through a battery in it and started right up, bought it at an auction just to scrap it or part out. i need to come up with 350 quick. lol. i have cash but my car insurance comes out soon. maybe i could spend that and get it back before my insurance is due lol.
Also he said something about the passenger side having some work done to it, some crapy bondo work or something..

So I guess it is a GTZ, never seen that little decal before. From the pics I really don't see any bad bondo work. Maybe around the rear quarter, as I see paint chipping on the rear wheel well. This is a definite good buy. Theres a switch under the stering wheel that you can turn the car on and off with, at least there was on my 90'. Just don't lock your doors.LOL. Any idea of the mileage on that? Need any work?

That ad is old, from over a week ago. I was debating going to look at it since its only 20 mins from me - but I just have no room for another car right now. It's probably gone to the crushers now.

I mean the driver side LOL duh i had a brain fart.. LOL. sorry im just excited lol.
Im talking to him about sending a deposit to hold onto it, should know by tonight. i was going to drive there and look at it but if he emails me some pictures that would be better then a 6 hour drive.. 3 hours each way. no way i can loose money on it, its worth 400 for scrap and there is a ton of good parts on it.

well someone else i guess looked at it already and hes waiting till monday to see if he comes back. if he doesnt then good chance i will get it, needs a fair bit of work, i think its best for parts. might not have been so bad but the colum is busted up pretty bad and needs to be replaced, someone honda civic'ed the interior. I could use side skirt brackets, heater control knob. the door panels in my Z i hate how crapy the Z panels are, very un comfortable arm rest part on them and put the blacked out fillers on my 88. part the rest out. Windshield is cracked all to heck, and rear driver side 1/4 full of bondo.

Re: save this 92!! $350
this car sold on the weekend, i wasnt able to pick it up until 1 night this week and he wanted me to bring a deposit, i wasnt really into driving for 6 hours to take him 100 bucks to hold it, and turn around in a couple days and pay someone fuel to go back and pick it up. so i figured if it was still there then fine if not oh well.
Its pretty much just good for parts, unless someone has the parts to fix it... needs a windsheild / steering colum/ rear 1/4 is full of bond and cracking, has been hit before.. it does run. Would have been nice for parts, i would have stripped it bare to the shell and scraped the rest, used some parts and parted the rest out.
If i had of had one i could cut the rear 1/4 off and weld onto it, would be alot of work, but i couldnt see myself doing all that work, i would have rather just had parts, bumpers side skirts ect. i couldnt see myself driving around with a gallon of bondo in the rear 1/4 though.
All in all i guess it wasnt too bad... he said there was no rust. but still for 350... i would have kept the body kit and stripped the shell and still got 300 over the scales and 80 for the cat converter. and basically had all the parts off it for cost of fuel to pick it up.
Im going to look at 2 other berettas tomorrow for 500 bucks, my father in law was telling me about them, he hauled 2 others the guy had for scrap last summer/fall. that were pretty rough and i think thats where my Z doors i have come from. he said the other 2 are in nice shape. He just told me yesterday where they are sitting so tomorrow afternoon ill go for a drive and see if they are still there, and its only half hour away rather then 3 hours lol..

Re: save this 92!! $350
i asked the guy for an email address to who bought it, but he said he didnt have it, or just didnt want to give it to me, if they were going to use it for parts i wanted some.
overall i dont think it was too bad of shape other then the bondo part. but i would like to have those door panels in my z26. and could have used another good front lip since the one on my z is cracked but i have it screwed up so it looks good and normal, i have another one but still want to put on my 88 someday. always good to have spare parts.
