They are open till' 8, but I'm not gonna call right after you did. Then they'd know somethin' is up. Like I stated before, and I think I speak for everyone, I'd like to see it go to someone else who knows what it is, and are gonna take care of it, if I don't get it. You don't remember the guys name you talked to?

That's a standard dealer lie. "Someone else is looking at the car right now, hurry and buy it!". Total bullshit.

I can't stand dealers! I kinda figured that tho, we'll see what they have to say, not sure if I'll mention it to them, probably not gonna. These guys are proving tough to deal with however.

idc if i get it or not, its not exactly what i want, but the fact that i already have a perfect parts car for it, and a built engine in the works, it wouldnt be a bad idea at all...

Well, it's official, dealers are assholes! I just called, and another sales person took a deposit from someone from Ohio. If it's anyone on here, please make yourself aware of the problems it has, not sayin' don't buy it, but just warning ya, it's nowhere near worth what your payin' for it. It looks much better than it runs, still runs strong, but needs a good amount of work. I hope the person is not driving it all the way to Ohio, I don't think it'll make it. It should at least get an oil change, and I think the exaust will probably fall off too. Needless to say, I'm pretty pissed, but Oh well.

What did you expect from the dealership? That they'd turn down someone with money ready and wanting to buy the car?

This isn't UNICEF, it's a car dealership. They are in the business of selling cars.

Sorry to sound harsh, but you let too many worries go to your head. Clean bodied QuadZeds don't come around ever, and apparently somebody in Ohio wasn't going to miss what might be the last clean one we ever hear about for sale.

Sorry to sound so mad and all, things happen, I know. I'm a bit disapointed, but it's all good, hopefully it's going to a good home. If I had put some money down, I'd probably be getting it, I just didn't want it AS-IS, like they are selling it. I'm more mad that they didn't let me know, although, thanks to speedy, I got word of it before I even called today. Well I guess that end this topic, unless anyone else has anything to add. LOL. Thanks for the help anyway everyone.

I was the sucker and I sure wish I was on here reading this before I made the drive. This car would not make a 100 mile trip. They asked me what it would take for me to buy it. I said a grand out the door and load it up on your rollback and follow me home. I'd go half on fuel. They will not go a dime less than $1850. They lied out their teeth. He assured me, oh this car will make it 400 miles. Yeah, right...As I put in the other thread the car needs all that is mentioned here aswell as a sway bar (front) all the motor mounts are gone.
At one time this was a damn nice car but it got into the wrong hands and got thrashed, the gas door is good, the pillar jambs are not rusted out but the car needs a complete restoration. I am a body shop manager and what was funny was when they pulled out the car they hosed it off without drying it to give it a "wet look" lol. The sun dried the water off and they ruined the paint on the fenders buy degreasing the engine and not completely hosing the degreaser off...lol

They then proceded to tell me a guy in California was waiting to buy..I hope he reads these posts.
