Too much junk at the top of each forum.
Not trying to complain - but I've been getting the feeling lately that there are too many announcements and sticky threads at the top of each forum. In a lot of cases between the announcements and stickies - I find myself scrolling more than halfway down a page just to find the topic that was most recently posted in. This probably isn't an issue for many, but the majority of my posts these days are made from my phone - and the reduxed screen size kind of makes it tough.
Anyways, just a suggestion. Not nitpicking or complaining. Anyone else have any thoughts?

Agreed, many of these topics should be moved to FAQ and\or de-stickied.

I never see them, as I use the "view new posts" button a lot of the time, but yeah, there are a lot of things on some of the forums.

The QuadForums have a section just for stickies. I say we should do the same here

Well technically we do... The FAQ could definately work that way.
I agree with you guys and would like to do something about it, get me a list of all the stickies that are at the top of each forum that you think is FAQ worthy or would like to see sections of it in the FAQ section. I can then copy those over, or move them and unsticky them from those forums. I will also look at the announcements and try to clean those up and consolidate them some more.
I'd love to put the new user topic just in the new users section, but the odds of anyone reading it then are even slimmer, its bad enough as it is they don't read it now and have any idea about the 5 approved posts.
*edit
I thinned out most of the announcements for the global aspect, there are still a few extras on the General forum but that I don't mind since they are relevant and usefull.

it may also work to have posts when replied too move up to the top of the section where their posted instead of wherever they fall as i see some of the recently replied ones can be half way down to find them.
but you guys do a great job of keepin this board cleaned up i must say i just wish their was more of us that visit this board more often

Bump, specially 'Suspension and Brakes' has pinned broken topics from 2005... Could be moved to archive or FAQ.. And 2 pinned topics from Neon brake swap, hmm?

Blow me.... Fixed the Neon threads... and cleaned up some of the others, stickied Weba's rear bushing info, and also added pics and info to the front poly bushing thread for 94-96
