It looks like it sticks off the back cause of the sun and the shadow off the back. The spoiler is actually almost perfectly 90* up from its base, while the stock trunk lid does have a slight degreeing toward the front of the car. Right now, the spoiler is perfectly up against the back of the car. Shadows play some nasty tricks on your eyes when viewed thru the camera ;)

Well, havent had much again going on with my car, but a couple things that have come about.

First off, I had Gerson print me up some new stickers for my bumper and also for my doors so i can represent on the sides as well. Im usually a fan of no stickers, but for some reason i really dig havin the GTZ stickers on the car. And though my car never came with the stickers on the doors like the Z26's but im gonna put them there anyways. Sides, i like showin off the W41 lol. I know its nothing special, but still :)

Old and busted (and faded)

They turned out pretty good i may add! Overall im a very happy person! Thanks Gerson!

Something else i have going on is i found rear disc brakes off an 02 Neon, so i will be modding those soon to install on the rears. I will have pics of those later on this weekend once i get them cleaned up a lil bit. All i gotta do is buy rotors, the original ones were cracked in the middle so new ones are a must! The drum brake parts looked pretty new and the pads looked great too. And since the drum wont be engaging when moving, theres no need to buy new ones.

I also have a "secret project" going on that involves a couple different things. I will reveal those in dew time. Prolly not till bfest, but i will reveal when ready :D hee hee

good to see that GTZ taking so much shape.. nice to see those stickers.. where could I get stickers like that done, like customed to look for a z26 if I bought one... like change some letter but keep the format, can photo edit one if you'd wanna see what I mean.

Well slowly but surely, im doing little things with the car. I had a shift lever from a Fiero i have been meaning to mod to use in my car as it is unique in its own little way. The lever positions the cable pin way out on the drivers side, so i had to do some work to relocate the pin to the inside of the shift lever. Now its not 100% perfect, but it is fully functioning and nice and short. The lever was modded before i bought it out of a junked car, so its in the ideal position already and shortened, just needed the pin for the Beretta cables.

The height between it and the shortened Sunbird lever that i have been using is about 1.1" shorter. Its so short i have to change the shift boot so that it wont interfere with shifting into 1st and 2nd. The funny thing is, this lever makes it use only the lower left 25% of the shifter boot and hole. I may have do some other modding, but we shall see. I have a shift boot that is a thinner material im going to try and see if that helps.

Here is the shifter after i removed the stock cable pin and pushed in a pin from an interior selector arm.

This is the Fiero lever with the Sunbird lever, you can see how much shorter the Fiero one is. Also to note, the sunbird shifter has already been chopped 1.2" from stock.
Image

This is how tall the knob was before the Fiero lever
Image

And after
Image

You can see how much the boot is now bunched up around the base of the shifter. So changing the boot is a must! Also, the difference in the throw between the two levers is about a full inch. So its a very short throw now!

I also tried to start on this secret project i was hoping to have done in time for the Fest, but its looking like i have to rethink what im going to do to make it work as my original idea is out the window. I will release the info in due time :)

Im starting to think i will start modding shifters and selling them if there is enough interest.

Jon it didnt before today cause there was so much bunched up. I have a thinner material boot in there now and im gonna take a pic and load it up later this evening to show. At the time of that pic, i did have alot of it tucked down in. I have to learn the material around the base of the knob so when you see a rubber band around the top of the boot dont worry, its only there for a couple days then i will remove it.

This thing is so short now i swear my total shift throw is 3" or less. The side to side is really short too as i also have the shorter linkage from the 94 grand am on the trans mission. Makes for one fast shift!

ANd finally a shot to show you how much the shifter is confined to the lower left quarter of the boot area, this is the shifter up in 5th gear
Image

All the gear ranges are right there close to the drivers leg, makes for easier shifting on me as i have long legs and short arms. This is a very notchy shifter now, and does feel hella tight, like brand new! So yeah, im lovin this thing even more now!
