Vacuum problem

Post by Asylum »

I have lost the cruise control and HVAC controls on my '91.

I recall this happening on the '94 and it was a rotted line under the battery that went to the trans.

That of course is not the case on a Quad.

I have looked at all the obvious lines. Any suggestions?

Thanx
Eric

'91 California Quad (Gone with just a bit of "Seller's Remorse".)
'92 3500 GT gone and not really missed. It was fun. Documented 13.47 N/A.

The connection is to the intake manifold on a Q4. Check all the hoses and follow them back.

Looking at the car from the front, the vacuum line connects to the intake , top side, right. It leads back to your CC unit on the firewall as well. The three usual weak points (as it converts from rubber to plastic along the way) are at the intake, behind/under the battery, and at/near the CC unit.

The 90-91 are a little different than 1992-94 Q4.

Mine was broken under the engine bay passenger side beauty plastic cover in my 1990 GTZ.
